78 Configuring Optional Packages
Change the LOGFILE and HOSTNAME lines to read as follows:
LOGFILE /var/log/httpd/access_log-ssl
HOSTNAME "Your Company’s Name"
Then createan OUTFILE line and a HOSTURL line anywherein the file like
the following:
OUTFILE /path/to/analog/output.html
HOSTURL www.yourdomain.com
Obviously, you’ll have to replace the OUTFILE path with a valid path to
wherever you want Analog to leave its reports. Replace the
www.yourdomain.com with your web server’s domain name.
You’ll probably want to put Analog’s report file into a separate directory
and restrict access toit usingthe access.conf file (ora .htaccess file).
For many reasons, you may not wantthe worldto be able toseeyour site’s
access log.
Analog can create many different types of reports. To turn on a daily re-
port, add a line like the following to analog.cfg:
DAILY ON
For more information about the types of reports Analog can produce and
how to configure the program in greater detail, please refer to the Analog
web page at http://www.statslab.cam.ac.uk/˜sret1/analog/.
4.2 Configuring mod perl
