6.6.6.4. Manage Conﬁg Channels Quota —

The Quota page displays the amount of disk space alloted and used for storing conﬁguration ﬁles.

A summary of available and used space can be found at the top, while individual ﬁle use is listed

within the table. Click the ﬁlename to go to the Conﬁguration File Details page. Refer to Section

6.6.6.6 Conﬁguration File Details —

for instructions. Click the conﬁg channel name to access the

Conﬁguration Channel Details page. Refer to Section 6.6.6.5 Conﬁguration Channel Details —

6.6.6.5. Conﬁguration Channel Details —

If you click on the name of a channel in a list, the Conﬁguration Channel Details page will appear.

6.6.6.5.1. Conﬁguration Channel Details

Details —

General information about the channel. This is the ﬁrst tab you see when you click on a channel. It

displays basic information about the channel, including name and description, and provides the means

to alter this information. To make changes, enter new values in the text ﬁelds and click the Edit Conﬁg

Channel button.

6.6.6.5.2. Conﬁguration Channel Details Files —

Conﬁguration ﬁles associated with this channel. Use the subtabs to view, upload, and create ﬁles.

6.6.6.5.2.1. Conﬁguration Channel Details Files List —

Displays the ﬁles associated with the conﬁguration channel. If a ﬁle exists, click its name to go to

the Conﬁguration File Details page. Refer to Section 6.6.6.6 Conﬁguration File Details — for

instructions. To replicate the ﬁle within a conﬁg channel, select its checkbox, click the Copy to Con-

ﬁg Channel button, and select the destination channel. To remove a ﬁle, select it and click Delete

Selected Files.

6.6.6.5.2.2. Conﬁguration Channel Details

Files Upload —

Enables you to import ﬁles from your system into RHN’s central conﬁguration manager. To do this,

populate all ﬁelds, browse for the ﬁle, and click the Upload File button. Note that ﬁles larger than 16

KB cannot be edited through the RHN website. The ﬁle path is the location to which the ﬁle will be

deployed. The user, group, and mode ﬁelds allow you to set the ﬁle’s ownership and permissions.
