Although you can now work with TopSpin you should restart the pro-

gram as soon as possible. Typically wait until the current acquisition is

finished, then exit and restart TopSpin.

killtopspin

Note, that this will stop your T

OPSPIN session and therefore also a running acquisition.

12.2.1 Send debug information to Bruker BioSpin

If you are in a situation, that TOPSPIN problems appear periodically please send

information about this to Bruker BioSpin. For a successful and fast processing of

incoming emails please make sure that the following information is given:

1. Use T

OPSPIN command about to get the information about:

• version number

• Server patchlevel

• GUI build number

2. Operating system information

• kernel version (shell command uname -r)

• operating system version

(shell command more /etc/redhat-release)

3. If the PC is sued for acquisition control add the Bruker BioSpin order number

of the spectrometer.

OPSPIN internal debug files. To get these files do the following:

Go into the Linux shell where T

OPSPIN was started, maximize the window and

then press the keys Ctrl and Backslash (‚\‘) simultaneously. This will create a

debug output within the shell. To mark the whole text, click with the left mouse

button at the end of the text, keep the mouse pressed and move it up until you

reached the beginning of the text. Click on Edit - Copy. Now enter the command:

nedit <TOPSPIN_HOME>/prog/curdir/<USER_NAME>/stack.txt

<TOPSPIN_HOME>

is the TOPSPIN installation directory, in a default installation
